I did a review on it here...

Hey Sog guys,
The review really is well done. Thank you Mr.Walker!!!
What about a seal pup sized leather handled bowie? No black finish and leather sheath...no stone but a fire starter?

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the review

I'd be cool with that, in fact I think I'd really like it as I have a thing for leather handles... but most people are more into the newer synthetics it seems.

The older I get the more I like the traditional stuff. I guess the natural-ness of it as well as the memories in brings back. Looking forward to more reviews of yours. The only problem is everytime you do a review I want that knife:).

I like the more natural organics myself. I'm more of an earth/woodsy person than urbanite. Don't get me wrong, I spend a lot of time in and along creeks and rivers as well as out in the rain... I understand the usefullness of synthetics...they just don't speak to my inner spirit the way the organic materials do.

That is certainly one of the best in-progress reviews I've ever seen for any product, whether it's knives, cars, truck, boats, watches, or nuclear missiles. Just a fantastic job !!!

Great knife, the Super Bowie. I bought one a couple of years ago and like it's physical size and heft, much better for camp chores than the older S1 model. One quick fixit I needed to do was retighten the little nut holding the handle washers in place. Otherwise, it has served me well. The Super Bowie, and the S1, are great SOG knives.

Cheers,

Carl

Thanks, glad you like it. I'm really liking it, and I will have no trouble getting used to the size difference. So far this one hasn't loosened any and I've done a bit of chopping with it, but I like that SOG makes them so you're able to tighten them if needs be, it's a great feature on a leather handle.

I like working with it. I made a pot of soup today using it and it handled great for a knife this size.

Holy Smokies !!! You're single-handedly setting new highs & standards for awesome reviews !!!! Great Pictures and Narrative in showing and telling about making soup at your review. Again, Well Done !!

And I would like to compliment you on your camping craft skills. In the soup-making thread you made a small off-the-ground table of sticks/twigs .... that is really really neat !!

Yes indeed, SOG makes some of my most-favorite Tactical Tableware !!

Cheers,

Carl

Thank you for your compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed the review.

Actually the "table" was built with the intentions of using it as a grill but I didn't get to build a wind break around it and we had some really high wind gusts today. So... I decided I'd rather have to just keep an eye on one fire and just used it for a table. Hopefully I'll get the chance to cook something on it soon.

Some of my favorite tactical tableware also lol.
