Sog tac tomahawk

Hey guys, New to the forums so I'm still trying to navigate through all the info. Recently I received a Sog tactical tomahawk. So far the reviews seem good. Anyone else here own one , and what are your opinions/ thoughts on it? Have you done any customizing to it ?

I'm assuming your referring to the Vietnam style hawk. If so..........fun toy. Don't abuse it. It WILL fail and potentially hurt someone.

You like that style of hawk? Can you afford to drop a few more bucks? If so........get a VTAC. Completely different league.

I have one and and its a wonderful thrower but it dulls very quickly and won't stand up to much chopping, but I haven't customized it

I own 2 Sog Fasthawks and my husband owns 1 of them too. Our Fasthawks were bought a couple of years ago.

I do not throw my Sog or chop with it. It was basically bought as a back up self defense tool.

I do not plan on customizing any 'hawk or axe that I own.

I use an Estwing camp axe for heavy duty work. The Sog is an alternative tool for me to use in a pinch.

My husband owns an Estwing and several other brands of axes, tomahawks, etc. for his tools too.

I plan on getting another heavy duty axe like my Estwing or in a more expensive brand.
