SOG tech bowie? Is it as good as a kabar for a woods/hunting/survival blade?

Title says it all. Since they are similar in construction I was wondering if anyone has put the tech bowie through the ringer. And is it a good survival blade. I won't be battoning any wood I have an axe and a saw for that.

Forum Member Mystwalker has put a few of the SOG Bowies through outdoorsy tests and all came through with flying colors. You can search for his threads to find the posts.

My experience is with the SOG Bowie (same knife, different steel and handle material), a loaner from a friend. I used it on a campout or two to carve roasting stitcks, cut wood, split kindling and open packages. It handled every thing I asked of it with out complaint. After testing out the SOG Bowie, Tech II and others, I have no problem with any of the SOG Bowies. If I had the money a Tech Bowie would be mine.
