SOG Tech

I came across a knife labelled the "SOG Tech".

It appears to be a forerunner of the Seal Knife.

I chose to pick it up because it does not have the partially serrated edge like the different seal knives. My only question now is-the tang is described as "Stick". Does anyone know if this is the equivalent of a full tang or is it only partial?

Also, the steel is labelled as 440A stainless. Any word on how this is compared to AUS 6 and 8? Reflectivity is not an issue for me. I am not planning on diving, but would like to know that it is pretty resistant to the elements!

stick tangs are other wise known as "rat tail" tangs, they are completely wrapped in handle material, whereas full tangs are solid.

I think 440A is very similar to AUS6 if I'm not mistaken. So very rust resistant

440a ans aus 6 is the same...its a good knife dont fear to use it !

It is the tech from Carl's thread and it is huge!

It's funny that Carcajou says "Don't fear to use it!" as I look at this thing in mint condition and almost feel that it is too beautiful to use in the field!
