SOG Tigershark DISCONTINUED?

The current Tigershark has been discontinued. That is all I can say at this point. :)
 
Can we vote? Cause I vote for SK-5 Carbon steel. :D

Looking at SOG's history with releasing the SEAL Pup Elite 2 yrs ago and The SEAL TEAM Elite last year, I would guess that we will see the same thing happen with the Tigershark. Can anyone say AUS8 "Tigershark Elite" or maybe "SEAL Tigershark Elite".:D

Just my guess though.

"SEAL Tigershark Elite" sounds Great, well if we really can vote for the steel Type then i vote for S30V or AUS8 :)

BTW if that's true then i can't wait for the new Tigersharks.

That big and heavy duty knife just calls for a carbon steel blade. The old SK-5 model is excellent. It's still my favorite FB knife and I have a bunch. AUS 8A steel can be a step up from AUS6 if done right. Perhaps a bit more brittle due to more carbon but not much more. All we can do is speculate. Joe
 
That's For Sure.im only hope that they will make it not lighter,because i feel better with something heavier in my hand. ;)
 
If they bring the Tigershark back, maybe they will use some braincells and forget those stupid serrations. I've seen more good knives ruined with those serrations on them because they are too inconsiderate to give the customer, which keeps them in business by the way, a choice to get the knives without serrations. I believe if you know how to sharpen a knife you don't need serrations. This is from experience(spell?) from being in the Navy cutting line and rope every day. I have always used a straight edge with ease and no problems what-so-ever.
 
I quit using my Tigershark because of the serrations. I'd consider buying another if the new ones didn't have them. I often thought the serrations would be better on the false edge near the tip, rather that the sweet spot.

X4 on the no serrations. A black coating would be nice too. Maybe a reincarnation of the Midnight Tiger?
 
Love one too without serrations and it must be made in seki japan! i only buy sog knives that are made in seki japan because that's extraordinary ;)
Yes there must be an option to choose between with serration and without serrations if there would be a new seal pup and the seal 2000 has that option too i will buy them all :)

(all top of the line sog knives must be made in seki japan!)

Ford is now making a retro Mustang. Dodge brings back the Charger and the Challenger. Colt's best selling guns are their series 70 and WWI/ WWII reissued guns! And you would sell a BOATLOAD of Tigersharks if you would just make a solid, full tang knife out of SK-5 Carbon and forget about having your name carved into a USELESS handguard!!! It's a knife for survival, not a fencing weapon!!

WAKE UP, SOG!!!

One more time: TIGERSHARK, SK-5 CARBON, BIG, RUGGED, DEPENDABLE.

You want to save some money??? Discontinue about half of your line and make what will SELL!!

I would like to add to the above post by saying forget those stupid serrations! You don't put that crap on a bowie knife.
