SOG Titanium Tigershark

Navy SEAL Hunting knife? That knife would bounce right off a Navy SEAL.
Where's the exsanguination highway?

"exsanguination "!!! Damn, Mr BE, you made me go to the dictionary again. As an ebay Seller/buyer with over 600 transactions and 1 negative feedback (from a nutcase woman in Minn. ) , Reading auction descriptions like this makes MY blood drain (or boil, take your pick).

Sorry ichor :)
That was a joke someone here made about some goofy description of a "blood groove" on some new "used by real mercs!" knife.
Yeah. I own an SOG (one of my first knife purchases), they are decent stainless steel knives. I'd take any HI over one though.
S5 Titanium! That's pretty funny.

Doncha just love references to "blood grooves" and WWI veterans saving one shot so they could "shoot" the enemy, thereby blowing the bayonet out, just in case they couldn't pull it out (it, like, gets sucked into the body of the foe, or something). This myth is still being repeated by soldiers in Iraq. I know this for a fact.

I recently bought a beautiful, use K5 carbon steel Tigershark so this immediately attrated my attention. The one thing that puzzles me is that, if it's carbon steel, why does it have serrtions, and if it's stainless, why the rust?

Oh, and BTW, I just received my 20" Sher Kobra last week!

That listing cracks me up. SOG made a SK-5 Carbon Steel Tiger shark, then came out with the AUS-6 Tigershark some years back. Never made a Titanium one that I know of. And it it really is Titanium, why is there rust on the blade? Titanium doesn't rust. LOL. Even though it's not Titanium, the TigerShark is still a great knife. Yeah, it's not a HI, but still wish I had one. :)

Thanks for the good laugh. LOL

The recon bowie at $235 minus 40% ( $94 ) = $141 for a factory second. I can relate to that...

WHAT AM I SAYING? With shipping that's over the $150 level that I said better go bang if I pay that much for a toy. I've got a Beretta M35 and a Colt Official Police I'm trying to decide between. :footinmou :footinmou :footinmou

Since I brought this to your attention, I must report that I wrote this seller and informed him that, to my knowledge, the Tigershark has never been made in titanium and is not a Navy Seals knife. Here's his response:

"Thanks for the heads-up. We just cancelled the auction pending further investigation/discussion before we relist.

Thanks"

He, in fact, has cancelled the auction. And, In all fairness, he does have 595 positive feedback and 1 negative, which is really admirable if most of his stuff is on consignment.
