SOG Titanium Tigershark

GOSH ! That is a new model that must have just come out, Titanium huh ? That is a real rare one ! :D And to add to the rarety, it is a real Navy Seal "Hunting" knife......... .
I wonder if they realize they could have looked it up on the web site ?

Hee Hee hee! For an unused Titanium blade, that knife sure has some interesting discolorations. :p Cause last I checked, Titanium doesn't rust and a new knife doesn't look quite so used. LOL. I'd still buy it though, IF the price was right. ;)

Well.....surely you understand that when you hunt seal you need special equipment. I'm going to contact this seller and see If I can get good deals on other rare stuff before it goes on ebay. ;) :D

Many sellers don't even bother to look at the other ebay auctions in competition with they're own. It's not unusual to see an item appear at, say, 59.95 when there are already a dozen identical items being auctioned at 29.95. But ya' gotta love this guy's disclaimer. Since all his items are on consignment, :barf: Apparently he's responsible for virtually nothing.

Since I brought this to your attention, I must report that I wrote this seller and informed him that, to my knowledge, the Tigershark has never been made in titanium and is not a Navy Seals knife. Here's his response:

"Thanks for the heads-up. We just cancelled the auction pending further investigation/discussion before we relist.

Thanks"

He, in fact, has cancelled the auction. And, In all fairness, he does have 595 positive feedback and 1 negative, which is really admirable if most of his stuff is on consignment.

Thats really great, it's good to know there are some people like that at these places, I guess he was just saying what someone else told him, and at least he is trying to advertise in an honest manner. Good to know, and thanks for the info.

As an ebay seller and buyer, I found it incredibly refreshing, considering the sleazeballs you run into. I've sent email to sellers politely informing them of their misinformation and gotten answers that ranged from mind your own business to....who are you to tell me how to run my freaking auctions. Whatever.

Is there usually email address on each site ? I don't go there often, never really noticed, but a few times I wondered how to get in touch with the person selling, because I wanted to ask a question.
I bet he looked this Tigershark up after you told him this stuff . :D

Ichor, Thanks for the advice, I may just start bidding on some of these knives :D , I may get lucky. I never tried, really never knew how, but I guess I could learn. :( Now to find some SOGs for sale..... :D

Wow, that's quite a knife. I guess SOG has been holding out on their loyal fans to never tell us about a Titanium knife.

Cheers,

:D :D :D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

THAT is the funniest crap ever... I can't believe someone could be so ignorant of knives to think it was made of Titanium... oh I laughed so hard.

Nope...no titanium Tigershark.
And if there ever WAS a Ti Tigershark, you can BET the farm that it would cost somewhere around $600, as that much Ti wouldn't be cheap!.:).

roger that !!!

more than a few years ago I was at an aircraft company in San Diego. The previous night 6 huge huge billets of titanium had been placed into position on an enormous milling machine, the CNC tape inserted, and the "on" switch flicked. About 30 minutes later it was discovered that the wrong tape had been inserted. O-o-o-o-p-p-p-p-s-s-s-s !!

I forget the value of each billet quoted by the accountant, but it was well into 5-figures....

Cheers,

Carl

Yeah, I noticed that one too... :D
Good of him to pull it, I wonder if he got "sold a bill of goods"...
