Not trying to start a poop storm or anything but do you guys like the Tomahawk from sog? I have never had one before and I am thinking about getting one from Walmart.

If you want to use it to have a little fun and light duty chores....it should be OK. Anything resembling heavy work......avoid using it.

I haven't gotten to use mine yet but it feels pretty sturdy. I've seen some videos of people doing some pretty decent lighter chopping. I just wouldn't do much twisting or prying as its head is fairly thin in places. If you need something you can really beat on then just buy a hatchet for $10 at a hardware store. I think where it really excels is as a lightweight companion to a knife on a hike or something, and just as a cool thing to have.

I agree small jobs if your going to carry it in the woods I would look for something a little stronger built

It is on the lower end of the spectrum but it would be a great testing the waters tomahawk. If you are still looking for one then you can check out a review i found online .

Not a super hard use hawk, I wouldn't use it to cut a hole through a concrete wall, but honestly I have a fast hawk and it's one of my most used tool. Partly because it's so cheap but I've used it for digging holes, chopping up sheet metal, chipping ice off a drive way, and throwing and it's held up to all that. I say it get it. If you love it either stick with it or you can always decide to spend more money on a higher end hawk.

I actually bought mine when I seen a youtube video of it, someone busting concrete blocks with one..tough head for stainless steel..me and my son n law have put it through the ringer. im looking for material to use,for making a custom metal handle now.
