Hey,
I'm thinking of ordering the SOG Tomcat 3.0 and had a few questions.
Because I live in Canada, shipping knives in from the US is sometimes sketchy business, trying to get a knife through customs.
I was basically just wondering if the the Tomcat could be flicked open the same way the the 'elite' series of knives can, by releasing the lock and flicking the blade open, then just as easily flipping it closed.
Can the blade also just be flicked open without manipulating the lock?
It seems almost possible to me because the blade is quite large and would therefore be quite heavy, and would carry a lot of momentum.
Finally, I should state that I will be ordering it brand new, so maybe out of the box the action will be just stiff enough to not be flickable?
I'm just guessing, so if anyone with experience with this knife could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!
