Just decided to pull the trigger on this Sog fixed blade model. Midway USA has them available on clearance for around $40. Many on line are charging $70 to $99. Have been looking for a fixed EDC for woods hiking and with it's 4.2 inch blade seems to fit the bill. Yeah it is 4116 steel but should prove ample for this knife's intended purpose. Already own the Trident spring assist AT/XR and have been satisfied so far. Understand this knife is full tang and available in black or OD green with plain or partially serrated blade with tanto point. Anxious to see how the sheath retention performs. Got a few varying opinions on line. Have not received it yet but wanting to let those who may be interested in this knife at the low price. I realize Sog may not have as many fans here on the forum as other brands but this model seems like it might be worth a shot as a decent tactical/defense type blade. Give ya my 2 cents when I receive it. Xmas is coming and now that Pentagon folder in wolf gray is talking to me! Best wishes to all.
