sog trident hard to close.

I got a sog trident a while back and have kept it in a safe for the last 2 years. About a year after I got it it became really hard to close. Its kind of weird because it opens fine still. I wrote sog a letter about this but they never wrote back to me. Is this something they would cover under warrentee?

I would say send it in and have it checked out. Might just need cleaning.
