I have a chance at this knife. anyone own one? I think it looks pretty neat:thumbup:

I've heard some people say that while they appreciate the fine craftsmanship that goes into the intricate design of the monogram, the monogram itself is ugly.

I'm on the edge for the monogram Tech Bowie not the Trident folder but it appears to be the same process? Some of the home photos I've seen of the monogram close up are amazing when the light hits it.

well I received the monogram trident (#741/1000) and it is an awesome looking knife. The monogram design on the blade is really artistic . Noticeable, but not tacky if that makes any sense. It will be part of my EDC rotation, and I am sure it will draw gasps of interest in this folder. Sog you have a winner here.
BTW-the mechanism to close the knife on the handle. Is it supposed to be loose (ie rattles back and forth) or does it go completely to the right or left depending if it's open or closed?

I have several "arc lock" knives and they all move freely until the blade is deployed. There is a video on youtube that details how to "fix" it If it bothers you. Its nothing wrong with the knife just a little adjustment to make it tighter. I'll try to find it and post a link when I get time.

I've seen the Trident folder and it does look great in person but the shop wanted about $225 for it. I understand its a limited production knife but that is WAY too steep for me. I'll just hang onto my tigerstripe trident I got for a quarter of the price.
