Well SOG has discontinued the original S2 Trident fixed blade and replaced it with a lesser model. This means that the originals should increase in value to some degree, but I think one guy on Ebay is severely overestimating this increase. This person on Ebay :jerkit: is trying to sell one for $575 USD??!! It is a nice knife, and certainlty better than the new model, but there are probably plenty of them around in new condition and a lot of other nice cutters out there for that kind of money including customs. Considering that they were selling on Ebay for about $175 USD very recently, i think it is a little over the top to ask for that much. What do you guys think? Of course, I am watching the auction and if it does go for that much mine is going on the auction block immediately.

If this guy had a gas station during 9-11, he would be charging 4-5 usd for gas/gallon. People who want them will pay more, but the market is still staurated and I doubt that there are people that would pay 300 (yet). So hold on to your knife and in time it will gain value for those that really want one (like me ;-)
