Hey everyone it's my first post on the forum. I been looking at purchasing my first SOG. I've had a few Spydercos & a benchmade & have always been pleased. I saw a knife online that caught my eye. It was a SOG Trident in Desert Digital Camo with a partial serrated blade. Anyone 1 on here have 1 that would give me a honest review of it? Also if it's a POS knife & you have a better suggestion for me please lmk. I really like the looks of that knife. I've never owned a Sog & I would have to order it online because there's no one near me that actually carries it either so any leads on A good online source would be appreciated.

I have the Trident Tanto version and it's a nice knife. It's actually one of my favortite knives I don't think it will disappoint you. The cord cutter is okay, it's not great but it's okay. It's nice and light and sits really low in your pocket. After a lot of use the blade still has no play to it. I'd say it's worth the money.

i too have a trident tanto. i have always loved sog and they were my knife of choice while in desert storm. I dont think at that price you will find a better knife. buy it and you wont regret it.

I carried a SOG Trident for a little over a year. It holds a great blade and is very light. I have cut and chopped all kinds of stuff with the knife on a daily basis. The blade has begun to have a little bit of play but not that much. I would recommend this knife to anyone.

I am going to get a Trident Tanto when I get the money. I like how its rectangular when its closed so when its in my pocket with my cell phone it dosn't bump against it like my other EDC knives do. I also looooove the clip.

Nice knife

Extremely comfortable in the pocket with low riding clip and light weight.

Very nice thin blade profile make it a great slicer. The design of the
blade makes the partial serration useful. The is a lot of belly in the PE portion
of the blade for slicing so the serrations never interefere in use unless you want them too.

Nice grinds and bevels can get wicked sharp easy and keeps a decent edge

Very small amount of horizontal play that is not noticable in use. Can be adjusted out

Cord cutter is a little gimmicky.

I really like the knife as an EDC. It is not a heavy duty prybar tank-like knife.
If that is what you want look elswhere.

I got the Desert Digi Camo Trident about a month ago. Firsts thoughts are as follows.

Pros
Fits perfect on the pocket.
I love the overall design of the blade.
Super sharp right out of the box.

Cons

My only thing I kinda dislike about this knife is the same thing that attracted me to it in the first place. The copper colored blade. The finish IMO isn't that great. I've carried mine for a month & only actually used the knife twice. Both times on the serrated portion to cut weedeater string. The color/finish wears really thin super fast.

Other than that the knife is great & I'm also planning on getting the Black Trident also. I really like the knife & it's already replaced my Spyderco as my EDC knife.
