The blade is moving a little from left to right. Is it possible to fix this?

EDIT: Also, there's another minor problem with the knife. When I push the blade out slowly, the arc lock does not fully engage (granted pre-opened, the arc lock is in the bottommost position), and the blade plays up and down a little. I can fix it by manually pushing up the arc lock, but it's kinda annoying. Now that I think about it, I don't think it's possible for me to make the arc lock completely up without manually doing it. Is this normal? I'd really rather not ship it to SOG because I don't want to pay shipping costs.

It's common for a Trident folder to have blade wobble. There is a way to fix it. Tighten the pivot screw. The trade off is that the S.A.T. won't properly work, at least on mine, when I tighten the pivot enough to eliminate the wobble. So you need to find the right compromise you can live with between blade wobble and S.A.T. function.

I wish SOG would come out with some brass washers, and replace the factory ones for free!

Aww...Poopie...

And just to reiterate my arc actuator problem...

When I open my blade, the arc actuator doesn't go all the way down, if I open it weakly, or sloely let it fall into place. Is this normal? It doesn't really affect performance...but...It's just kinda weird. If I let it down slow enough, it'll only lock a little bit, and there will be a little bit of up and down blade play.

Post a call for Chris...he'll tell you what to do (send it back!).
Post a call for...Chris?

Sorry. I'm new to bladeforum lingo.

It's not clear in the vid, but in the first opening, the arc actuator is like this.

Second opening, it's perfect. All the way up.

Third opening it's like this.

SOG isn't gonna claime voided warranty because I oiled it, and tightened up the screws a little....will they?

No we are not going to claim voided warranty for that. Although the oil might be what is causing it not to move all the way up. The Arc-Actuator should move freely with out any resistance. I would suggest having the knife throughly cleaned to remove any excess lube.

No resistance, at all?

When the blade is not drawn, the arc actuator has a little resistance. Well. Resistance wouldn't be the right word. There's like a bump. Weird.

EDIT: Gave it a very thorough washing. Soaked it in soapy warm water, blow dryed it, sprayed some gunscrubber, and scrubbed it a little. The arc actuator still won't go all the way up. Actually, it's gotten worse.

EDIT2: Oiled it a little. Got better, but problem still present. When opened slowly, the arc actuator doesn't go all the way.

So...What's the verdict? Should I send it to SOG? =( I'm flat broke.
