I just ordered one of these, what do you think- is it the most accurate portrayal of a traditional tanto on the 'market' today, (customs not included)?

I think it's a cool knife...don't have one right now, but I examined one last week at a gun show. The edge is more like a true tanto, i.e., it isn't squared off, as in most of the American-style tanto knives. That more gentle upsweep of the edge, IMO, makes it a better knife and still maintains the same tip strength of any tanto.
One thing I would prefer on this particular knife is more of a guard, although I don't think tantos traditionally had much if any of a guard.

I have a Cold Steel Mini Outdoorsman. This follows a much more traditional tanto design and is a very nice knife.
I couldnt say if it is better or worse than the SOG as I havent examined a Tsunami. I have bought other SOG products and they have all been high quality so I would imagine this will also be the case.

I don't mean to be too negative but...
I can't believe that a knife made of 440A with a kraton handle could really be the "ultimate" anything.
I do like it's lines though
