I just bought a SOG Twitch II (TWI-8) at the local Lowes and it is going back. The knife blade is not centered in the handle when closed, it needs to be pushed open to lock because it does not spring open and lock the blade as advertised. When locked open, it has some play from side to side. If it is not reliable to lock open when new, what will happen in a few weeks or months when it gets some debris in the handle? I am very disappointed. If this was a $10.00 knife, I would understand. Not acceptable in a $44.00 knife.

Send it back to SOG. It is the customer's right to claim a warranty and repair whatever flaws a new knife has. Good that you sent it back to Lowes since it is they should accept defects on their goods. Or those they sell for that matter.

From what I've been reading seems like only the people in the sharpening department are doing their job. :D

SOG makes fantastic designed knives but their quality control department is lacking or their standards are not up to their design level.(at least for folders) No way that my knife should have left the factory in its condition. It goes back to Lowes. I will not put up with the return it to SOG and we will evaluate it baloney. The knife doesn't work right period! I don't need a factory rep to evaluate it. Too many other manufactures of knives that get it right the first time!

Knife returned to Lowes. No problem. Keep the receipt and they cheerfully refund your money. Its a shame SOG is ruinning its good reputation with poor quality control and the less than customer orientated policies.
