Sog Twitch XL? Any owners out there?

Anyone use/own a SOG Twitch XL? I've been thinking about buying one of these!! I've been looking for an EDC knife for awhile now and thought this would make a good one with its good size blade and discreet carry clip. Would like to get a first hand review from an actual user. Thanks a bunch!!
 
I don't use mine and wouldn't even try to pawn it off on anyone else. The locking mechanism is crap. I can make the lock fail just by pushing with my hand. It has a lot of blade play. I've even sent it back for adjustment. All they did is sharpen it. Don't waste your money. There a alot better flippers out there. My $0.02.
 
I have the all black XL. Fit and finish is straight, well finished and the blade is a deep mirror black. Scary sharp with its thin edge- be careful with sideways pressure on the edge as it'll fold more easily. The additional lock is reassuring.

I've got some reading up to do here to hopefully catch up with everyone's insight.
 
I've had the regular Twitch, the Twitch II, and the XL. The small Twitch was too small for me, and I just got rid of it. I just sold my Twitch II, which in hindsight was probably a mistake, I liked that knife a lot. Bought the XL on a whim, liked the knife itself, but the guard/flipper just felt like it was in the way to me. Also, the large flipper was uncomfortable in the pocket. If you're in an office, I would say get the Twitch II. If you need a big folder, try the Flash II. I had several of those, thinned out the collection to pay for customs etc, but it was a good knife.
 
The lockbar on the twitch series has been adressed. We just tried the prototype on Friday, and will be looking forward to seeing them in production. We are also trying some wooden slabs to offer the public from our custom department. Ditto

someone on the inside? awesome! What design software do you utilize... Solidworks? Just curious.

I've all three versions of the XL; the all black and graphite are in my display case with the rest and the black handle is my every day carry. I had to remove the lock as it was frequently engaging, and therefore disabling me from quickly deploying the blade. Aside from that the XL is my fav of the ten SOG assisted openers I own. The one thing I would like to see is a plain pocket clip option as opposed to the graffiti-like SOG logo clip.

Any plans for a Twitch XXL?:D
