are these knives available with a plain blade?
are they assisted?
reversible clip(for lefty's)?
what is the difference in blade material- compared to AUS8?

Hi Wayne,

Ahhhh .... the Vision. I like this knife! Here's your answers:
  • Plain Edge: We had 12 Visions, Night Visions, and X-Ray Visions made. We have only several straight edged Night Visions and X-Ray Visions left. They are only available from us at full MSRP.
  • Assisted? No. Due to a list of reasons painful beyond belief, "assisted" slipped into the description of the ArcLock knives on our website. It's been removed and accidentally replaced a couple times now. :( Oh, well. Soon, it will be completely removed. It is not "spring assisted."
  • Reversible clip? Yes. Very easily done!
  • Steel: You will find it ATS-34.
I love my Night Vision dearly. Please let me know if you have further questions.

how do i get one(or two)?
what exactly does this mean-

"Due to a list of reasons painful beyond belief, "assisted" slipped into the description of the ArcLock knives on our website. It's been removed and accidentally replaced a couple times now. Oh, well. Soon, it will be completely removed."

it "sounds like" they were once assisted???
if so, can they be converted again?
i REALLY like the looks of this knife and plan to get several- somewhere...
thanks for all the info.

Hi Wayne,

Our website may have received undue "assistance" (oh, do I love pun!), but the knife never did. The ArcLock design has always been a non-spring assisted knife. Any reference seen in print should be considered a "typo."

Acquiring one of the few remaining straight edged Visions (in models stated above), while supplies last, is as easy as calling someone in my retail department at: 888.SOG.BEST or 425.771.6230.

i did call and got all the info, but forgot to ask one question. i was told it was a straight blade. what style is this(tanto, drop point, etc? are any of them available in black or can you modify them at the factory?
thanks:)

Hi Wayne,

The blades are 100% like on the original knives in every respect (shape, materials, finish), except that there are no serrations.

So, they are modified tantos with either satin or beadblasted finishes (depending on model).

Our SOG Vision web pages will help you out.

Hope this has answered all your quesitons.
