Perhaps this is a question for Ron or anyone else who owns a new NightVision.

Nice knife, just got it, but I found I've had to back off the tension screw quite a bit in order to get it to open easily for me.

Any chance the tension screw will back itself out over time? Should I put a little Loc-Tite on the threads?

Also, the thumb stud is fairly sharp. Should I take a Dremel tool to it? Or not?

Thanks, Genesis.

Hi Genesis,

As readers of this forum probably already know, the Night Vision is my knife of choice for daily carry. I love this knife. I backed off on my tension screws without reapplying LocTite and have had no problems, but if you want peace of mind, LocTite can't hurt. Regarding your thumbstud, if you want to lightly buff it, that might be fine. I just got used to mine. Leaving it alone would be my vote.
