For general survival and bushy situations, would ya'll prefer an SOG Super Bowie or 2.0, or a Blackjack 1-7?

i haven't been keeping up with SOG's offerings.

i kinda like the Blackjack HALO Attack with the single guard and the border patrol grip tho.

the 1-7 isn't quite my style... but that's just personal preference.

i'd also rather have A2

The US made Blackjacks are very good. As a bush knife the 125 is a more practical proposition than the 1-7.

Having carried both my choice would be the 1-7", but I realize the patterns limitations. No firewood chopping or 5" log splitting.

The SOG is built more heavy duty, and by that I mean it is thicker and heavier all around.

SOG also makes a version of 1-7" called the Agency, that is a quick little knife with just the slightest recurve and a hollow grind.

Aesthetically speaking i would go for the SOG Super-Bowie, Grind wise i would go with the SOG (either SOG),
for chopping i would go with the SOG Super-Bowie.
But then thats just my opinion of course.
However the BlackJack does also look like a nice knife.
Is this a one knife scenario? If yes then you would be better off with the heavier SOG knife.
The SOG's slight finger grooves also give you a bit more control.
Perhaps Mistwalker will amble by and give us some hands on feedback on the SOG Super-Bowie.
MW is our resident SOG guru and very knowledgeable about real life and Bushcraft-y SOG usage.
He also has a review of the Super-Bowie here somewhere, probably in the knife review sub-forum.

BlackJack HALO Attack with Border Patrol style handle.
