I opened it up to clean... then suddenly this metal washer popped out of no where!

There seems to be only 1... :(

Whats worse those white plastic washers....

I just realised one was thicker, and there were 2 stuck together!

Maybe you could try posting it in the SOG forum as well so when Chris is back, hopefully he can help you out. Is this the first time you've opened up a folder?

First time opening 'this' folder :(

It like suddenly fell out whilst i was unscrewing the last huge screw....

So i would guess it is that one :jerkit:

I don't own one but if you have a total of 3 washers (2 plastic (one thick and one thin like super thin) and one bronze phosphor washer) it goes like this

(Liner) - (thin plastic washer) - (bronze washer) - (blade) - (thick plastic washer) - (Liner).

As to which side of the blade is the bronze washer is to go, perhaps have a good look at the blade. The side where there is some abrasion (bronze washer abrades/rubs more than plastic) is the side where the bronze one is to go.

Good luck, hope this helps.

PS: Don't screw your torx too tight as you may be opening them to again and again until you get them right. You don't wanna wear them out you know.

PS: This is how it is on my recon by CS and AK47. May not be the same but close.

Umm I dun think that tiny washer goes with the blade itself :D

There are actually 3 white plastic washers... u see only 2 in the picture, but actually, 1 has 2 thin one stuck together....

I would suspect its where i indicated, cos it fits perfectly, on the outer and inner circle... :p

it's the washer for the blade pivot screw. my Lahar has a brass washer that goes between the G10 and pivot screw. different knife i know but there ought to be a washer in there. good luck.

I'm with crom on this, too...goes right where you have it. Sometimes those pivot washers have a slight cup to them so it actually applies a bit of tension against the contact surface of the pivot screw.

Hmm thinking back...

That metal washer fell out only after i removed the first black plate and screws...

at that point of time, The blade was not removed yet?

I think it goes right where you have it. I don't have a Vulcan in front of me to verify this but I seem to remember seeing a washer in that area.

Yo XxDrAgOnxX! I just remembered reading a thread abot a guy who had rust issues with his Vulcan. His rust was on a washer that is between the handle and pivot screw. So yeah I think the washer is where you pointed in the red arrow! I'm a bit busy to search for you but try to find the thread here in Bladeforum and you'll see a pic.
