Alright, now that the Vulcans have been in the "cycle" for a little while now I'll ask the question that I tried asking 2 months ago.

Which knife would you guys recommend using, a SOG Vulcan, or a Benchmade Griptilian?

Both are great to me, it's just hard picking which one to carry in the morning everyday. Please say which knife you'd prefer and why.

I don't own either knife(yet) but I'd sugest carrying the Griptillian for a day or two.If you still feel like you need your Vulcan at that time then go back to it.I do this with a new EDC from time to time.

Sounds like a plan, I have tried this almost everyday since I bought the Vulcan, it just seems like a compromise between blade length and thickness. But, I do find myself running to my griptilian more than most of my knives due to the slightly thinner blade and profile. I might have just answered my own question right there :foot:.

I have neither one of these, but if I did I'm sure I would carry the SOG Vulcan because it would feel more solid due to its increased weight. But hey, that's just me. YMMV:D

I prefer the vulcan over the standard griptilian, but I prefer the Ritter grip over the vulcan. The Ritter is just such an amazing slicer.

Thanks for your input. I just can't seem to get over the grip on the griptilian. It truly was a great handle design. Not too big and not too small. I wish I could have the griptilian's grip with the vulcan's blade that would be nice.
