SOG Vulcan

I agree, my Vulcan is my EDC, everywhere from the cockpit to CIC of a USN DDG it has served me and my shipmates well from opening rack lockers :barf: to shaving on short notice, good blade shape and ergonomics along with good blade steel :jerkit: Even though most non-knife users can't figure out how to work the arc-lock it is a great knife

i have the mini vulcan aka knife of the year 2008 field and stream and can corroberate your veracity, one of the best edc knives you can buy, especially at 65 bucks...

Still getting familair with mine. Full size vulcan, love everything about it except the clip. For some reason, the clip hits me a little weird on the IWB carry. I'll have to give it more than three months.

Mine is holding up pretty darn good. Needs a light hone to straighten the edge once in a while but this is my favourite folder from SOG. Good steel. The thumb pin rubs my leg but I'm just getting used to carrying it in my pocket. More used to sheath knives. I live about five miles from the SOG factory so I can get it sharpened for free anytime.

Mine, basically, replaced the rest of my EDC-rotation for several months, but eventually I cured myself of Vulcan Sickness. I really wish they'd flat-ground it. Also, I think they should re-engineer it, so that the blade can't strike the backspacer, when the arc lock is pulled back (this allows the closed blade to dip deeper into the handle), that's a poor design flaw, in my opinion. YMMV.
