Just order one as a birthday present (for me)... I have noticed not too much comment on it, anyone have any feedback?

OK, at least tell me it is sturdy and reliable. I know this knife has been out for a while, I have some larger ones and was looking for one that was "legal"...know the steel isn't great (?), not a big knife in a fight, etc...but surely people have some opinion?

Gman60, I have handled several, but don't own one, I was hoping someone that had one would tell you what they think. They are very solid knives, very sharp out of the box, and works and operates very smoothly. I think you will be very happy with yours when you get it. Sorry you had to ask twice, but I try to wait on someone to answer on the ones I don't have.
I think they are very well made, I have examined them very closely and think they feel perfect in your hand. The steel is AUS 6, which is RC 56-57, which I have heard from other people that have used it, performs very well.

The SOGWinder 1 is a stout little knife! Like its brother the Stingray, it is a smaller version of the SOGWinder 2 and Tomcat.

It is very thick and sturdy for it's size, and is a great little knife. Like a Jack Russell terrier, it doesn't know it's small, and works hard.

I think you'll like it. The AUS6 is not one of the latest super steels, but should serve you well. SOG gets good performance out of it through a good heat treat. It's corrosion resistance is good too! Again, I think you'll be happy with it.

Let us know. :)

Arrived today, nice little knife...sharp..feels pretty good in the hand for it's size...seems like it will serve my purpose, a little heavy for dress pants, but I'll figure that out later.
Thanks for your input guys

Gman60, glad you like the knife, it is quite a chunk, you might consider having someone make you a sheath for it, a nice leather to carry in an upright, or sideways manner.
I have carried a SOG night vision in a sideways sheath for about 2 years or more, of course I leave my shirt tail out to cover the knife, I carry it on the right front side. Very easy to slide out sideways if I need it and is held in by friction.
