Sog Winder II lock uneven with handle

Question on lockback knives, like the Sog Winder II. When the knive is open, the end of the lockback closest to the butt of the knive sticks up, and is not flush with the rest of the handle. It sticks up about 1 mm.

Is this just a matter of wear? or is this a warranty issue? Can this be fixed or adjusted by the factory to make it flush? I don't use the knife regularly, though I've had it for 10 years at least.

Thanks!

Fishwatcher,
First of all welcome to the Forum!!!:D
Sorry that your first post is a concern...:(
I would contact SOG's consumer services or send them an e-mail.
It sounds like an adjustment issue, but better techs than I will have to make that call.;)
Meanwhile, stick around and enjoy!

Thanks Bobby B.

I got a response back from SOG, and they said to
return it to SOG for warranty evaluation.

I'm going to do it, just so it can hopefully be
perfect again, and I'm going to request sharpening
as well ($9 for shipping I think). This was one of
my first knives, and I remember it being scarey
sharp out of the box. The other 2 knives I got
from that first shipment were a Spyderco Hunter and
Al Mar Eagle? (wood-like grain Micarta scales).

SOG Warranty called back today. They are sending me a new replacement!

Whoopee!! What terrific service! Thanks SOG.
