Wanna get one from those two, which one is better in your opinion? I like the plain edge idea of the X-42 mini autoclip better, but the handle construction of the mini X-ray vision (together with its Arc-lock) attracts me too. Decision, decision. :)

I bought the X42 mini, liked it, but returned it.... the knife stuck in the closed position. VERY hard to flick open. Not a lock problem, a quality control problem. Even brought it to my dealer, showed him, he agreed it wasn't good. Too bad, I liked it as much as my old Delica, perhaps even better. I've forgotten what the mini xray vision feels like ergonomically, but the lock is great, SOG heat treats are good (so I'm told). I'm sure you won't go wrong with one.

I've only handled the full size x-ray vision. The arc-lock is the smoothest opening lock I've handled, better than my spydies and emersons. And it feels very secure too. Go for the x-ray. Yes, I agree that the combo edge sucks though.

There were a VERY limited number of PE Visions made (Night and I think? X-Ray)...:D

I have a SOG X-Ray Vision, and I love it, so go with the mini x-ray vision. Better knife IMO than the X42.

yup, I'd go vor the X-ray too... It's a fantastic knife I love mine to death :)

Thanks all! The verdict is in. :D After spending a long time deciding I still can't find myself like the combo edge of the mini x-ray vision too much. So I've purchased a X-42 mini autoclip plain edge. :D Got it from SOG directly and boy I just luv it!!! Quality-wise the autoclip part and generally the whole handle don't disappoint me a bit. They are soild, feel good in hand. The blade.. it's just a beaute!! The tightness of the lock and the way the blade turns are just right, and after playing around with it for a while I can now close it with one hand too!! :D It's a keeper!!

Now if only they will make a mini x-ray vision/x-ray vision with a plain edge tanto...:D
