This knife looks awesome, and the fact that they have switched over to BG-42 impresses me even more. Read several articles on this knife, but there are two fact I cant seem to find

Does anyone know the overall length of this knife ?

Also, does anyone know if the sheath can be rigged with a leg strap/harness ?

Thanks

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

Hi Dark,

Thanks for the interest in our new X-42 Recondo. I have answers for you!

Overall length? Right about 10" (maybe a tad longer)

Sheath? It will be a typical SOG Kydex sheath, very similar to the one below (no boot clip, though). Tie down options abound.

Even with all the time I spend on the forums, I had no idea that there was a SOG Forum. I'm going to go over now and do some reading. Thanks again.

p.s. - This knife has been released right ?

Hi Dark,

I always enjoy "enlightening" people.

(I'm a sucker for bad puns! Sorry.)

The X-42 Recondo is a new product for SOG this year. Its release date is late summer. I got to play with a couple of the prototypes today.

I drove out to a couple of the specialty cutlery shops in our area and got some opinions from the store managers. The input was relative to beadblasting vs. polished finish. If you have a preference, you can cast your vote at: http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum55/HTML/000053.html

Looking forward to seeing you in the SOG Forums.
