Just received my large, satin Zoom last week. I think this knife is going to do very well if they can keep the price down to a reasonable level. I paid $60 online from my favorite dealer.
The blade (3.6") and weight (4.4oz) are to my liking.
Deployment speed is super fast as advertised. It kicks a little, as well.
The handle is slick, but is also contoured nicely with finger grooves and an ok finger choil. There is also a very deep thumb ramp with excellent, sharp jimping on the spine. The handle has room to spare for my medium hand.
It has a short, fat, thick, deep pocket clip. I like it! It looks reversible.
There was no up and down play. I was able tighten the pivot screw to the point where there is no side to side blade play, yet the blade deploys at a normal speed. My first Sog with no blade play! Blade is perfectly centered. One thing some may not like is that the blade appears to be SUPER thin. The spine looks like it has a false edge. I'm not sure why Sog did this. Reduce weight? Reduce cost? I won't be using this for anything other than light-med cutting.
The lock/blade release button works well. There is a safety mechanism above the button. It is small and pretty sharp. It is difficult lock and unlock one handed with the thumb or index finger. I can't see this accidently locking or unlocking during use or putting in/taking out of pocket.
Thumb studs are jammed right up against the scale, but surprisingly the blade still deploys very easily.
The lanyard hole will take 550 paracord.
I am really glad I made this purchase. This one is going to be a keeper.
Sorry I can't provide pictures. Maybe someone else can.
