I just ordered a Sog Zoom and am eagerly awaiting to receive it. Anyone have one? I will post my thoughts once I receive mine.

I am considering the large one with the uncoated blade and the Tanto-point version Flashback.

I would love to hear your review of it. Also, could you add a spring to make it an auto? I'm curious to know. I'm sure SOG is going to take that knife and make an auto version out of it.

Actually, the Auto-version has already been done.

The handle was taken directly from their Auto knife line that shares a common handle design (aluminum with finger grooves).

The handle on the Zoom was modified to make room for the thumb stud.

Yes the Sog-Tac is the Auto verison. Auto's are unfortunately not legal everywhere so this knife has the speed of the Auto but still legal in more areas. The company I ordered from did not end up having in stock. I had to cancel and re-order. Should be here this Thursday. Can't wait.

I order the Black Tini Drop Point 3.6 inch blade. The pocket clip on these knives looks to be one of the best I have ever seen.

I have the 3.6-inch, satin-finished blade version on the way.

Will give a quick review here once I get it.

Okay, I have it and here are my impressions of it so far:

I like the handle, the finger grooves work really well and so does the blade cut-out with jimping.

It opens up really fast, I just barely hit the thumb stud and it flies right open.

The redesigned extra-low profile pocket clip works well and doesn't annoy the base of my hand like the older design does on other SOG knives that have it.

The only thing that I find annoying is the safety lever lock switch. I have to use a fingernail to move it as it abrades my finger tip.

It looks like this uses a cam-action type lock with a button instead of the Arc-Lock.

Because of this it has very little blade play.
