It's been almost a year, it's time to look at a wild animal and say his name.

Remember -Only when the last tree is cut, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned will we realize, we can't eat money. Cree Proverb

I didn't know SOGGUY, but I do love those pictures. He must have been a good guy to be remembered fondly.

I must admit I wondered what to think when I saw this (WARNING: irreverent humor content) on the main HI forum.

I realized how it might look when I wrote the title, but I'm secure enough to not be offended. :D

He was a great guy and I miss his posts, as well as all the rest who have walked West before me.:(

Cheers to one of the good guys walking west. Smoke up in your honor, Dick. Almost a year, already?...wow, where does the time go?

He was wonderful customer and friend to HI and Kamis, we will always remember him

As long as you have one friend left ... who remembers your name ... you're not gone yet. :)

Was just thinking of him on Monday, when I took out one of the KKs that he sent me. I think of him when I'm feeding the birds, too.

Friends,

tomorrow it will be one year since the passing of Dick Singer; Pearl Harbor Day, how appropriate. Dick said seasons would come and go though for some reason I felt as if time would stand still. So I am sending up a flag for all to see to remind us of what he asked of all those who cared for him. Once a year to speak his name as we watched an animal in the wild. I truly believe a man will live forever among us as long as his name is spoken in reverence and it shall echo in the breeze.

I have not had much to say in this forum for I enjoy the words of wisdom that I glean each day that I check in. As well it is neat to see pictures of and put names and faces to references that he made of many of you. I do have many of the things that members of this forum made for him such as sheathes and knives and the like and I enjoy them as I know he did. So friends I emplore you , speak his name; and Dick know that I and the family are popping smoke and firing for effect. All is well

Gentlemen, and Lady(Yangdu)thank you for all that you did for him here in this wonderful place you have all taken part in creating.

Sincerely, ryan

I merged the two threads to make sure all the sentiments are in the same place. I hope that is OK with you Ryan.

it pleases me but does not surprise me with the caliber of people who gravitate here.
