Well, it happened just like I planned.

My sister and her husband were able to visit my wife and I on New Year's Day. So we put a 7-lb prime rib in the oven as the entree' for dinner and cooked it up to perfection.

Carving duties for the prime rib itself were carried out by the Tigershark. Smooth, easy, quick, no problems !!

I had set out on the table a selection of SOG knives to use as the knife with dinner.
My wife chose the Recon Bowie.
My sister chose the Tech I.
Her husband chose the X-42 Field Knife.
I chose the Bowie.

SOG knives are the perfect accoutrement for A Glorious Meal !!

Cheers and Happy Dining,

Carl

:( , Oh no, it's too late Bobby b, their all using SOGs for task that are definatly not in the clubs charter, shining will not help these knives, to much roast juice on them to help now:( , But there is one chance left, :D , Pig hunter, if you stop now and order a couple new SOGs, with the proper daily polishing, you too could become a member of the "clean knife club", Think about it and let us know/ :p :D

"The Clean Knife Club" .... hmmm, now that sounds like "military intelligence" and "jumbo shrimp"....
That's sure an odd concept to me.

Anyway, after hosing off all the grease and food bits, I took the Tigershark, Recon Bowie, and Bowie into the garage. I swabbed 'em down a couple of times with alcohol then swabbed 'em down in gun bluing to touch things up. Then after a good water rinse and drying I hosed 'em down with DuraLube and let that soak in for a couple of hours.
They don't look too badly abused.....

"The Clean Knife Club"...... I'll have to give that some thought.

Cheers,

Carl

What? Polished knives? You have to be joking.:p he he he. You the bad boys and just make sure that you keep em clean. We don't want any Sisy polished knives around here.:D:D he he he

Hey, I know... it just occurred to me !!

I truly AM a member of the Polished Knives Club !! I used 'em, abused 'em.... then washed 'em, dried 'em, and polished 'em !!

Way cool, I'm not a deviate after all.... but my shrink won't be glad to hear that, I wont' be visiting his office anymore and he has lost a paying customer !! Oh The Joy, I'm healed, I tell you, I'M Healed !!

Cheers,

Carl

p.s. last night and tonight the SEAL 2000 did battle with gigantic marinated and broiled top sirloin steaks, and a few errant green beans that foolishly got in the way.... need I say that SOG remains gloriously victorious ??!!??

Carl, if you and the SOGs had not won, I would have been concerned. lol :p Hee Hee hee :D

But, what's this I hear of Polishing your knives? Have you forsaken your friends? Am I the only one left that does not spend hours polishing his knives? Nooooo!!!!

Carl,
our holiday family dinner discussions become way too heated to pass out SOG knives:eek: The big problem would not be how to clean gravy off the blades:D

take it easy,
--Dave

Well then, I tell ya, Dave, I sure hope you cook the turkey for 5 or 6 hours to make sure it is falling-off-the-bone tender and can be cut with the edge of the fork....

Cheers,

Carl
