SOG's "Arc-Actuator" lock?

I've fiddled with the SOG Trident folder, but have to admit, the lock felt knida cheesy to me. Does anybody know, or better yet, is anybody able to explain exactly how this lock (Arc-Actuator) works? It reminded me of REKAT's (now Benchmade's) "Rolling Lock", which I always thought felt and looked kinda goofy. Does anyone know if the "Arc-Actuator" is similar to the "Rolling Lock"?

It is different than the rolling lock.

They had pictures up at the SOG site, but I don't see 'em now. BM has a picture of their Rolling lock up.

They are different mechanisms, but both feature a bar that inhibits blade movement. I really don't look at them as being the same.

NOTE to self: One of these days print list of relavant patents.
