A short video of the, recently ground to a complete halt, flippin knife project. And, a shout out for help, ideas, assistance, a kind word, and such. Or, the edge of a million dollar idea at your doorstep:

:)

Thank you for looking.

Win! SCORE!!! Solar powered cutlery dances right before your sore eyes. Yes it does. Go on now, its OK, to be in awe... You think that these will be in the Buck Store/Catalog soon?

Where there is a will, and there is a will, there is a way.

Thank you for looking :)

I am transparent to you because you see right thru me DS. All the way thru. LOL

Larry had a tiny titanium Buck on his consignment list but I failed to obtain it for this project. If more of you would get up off your big white butts once in a while and send me knives that I don't have then I wouldn't have to work so hard at this.

I borrowed my wife's color printer, mine's simple black and white, and made a light weight paper version of the 424, in purple, for the feeble solar gizmo. It only took me hours and a walk down by the river for my gourd to solve the weight problem. :)

Thank you for the suggestions, fertilizer and cool knives I don't own....

Hey Steve....things must be slow out in Oregon. :)

I have to admit that I didn't understand what you were trying to accomplish in the first video :stupid:, but that second video was just full of............................................pure awesomeness!! haha!! :surprise: :triumphant:

You crack me up. :highly_amused: Have another beer............ :very_drunk:

I had to go back and look, the first viewing I didn't catch that it was a paper knife
Thanks for the chuckle!

My pleasure. And thank you for having my back and not letting me fail.

BTW, my wife saw the open spot on her window sill, where the solar flower used to reside and now only the removed plastic flower was found, and wondered so I showed her this thread and she laughed out loud. It is good that everyone involved is a good sport because I can dish it out but can't take it. She can dish it out but rarely does. She is a peach.

Failure, apparently, was not an option. Every Buck aficionado should have at least one of these little guy's:

I would send this one your way, but alas, it was a gift from a co-worker many moons ago :)
I remember the days when this wouldn't even get a notice from the scrutinizers on the way into the terminals to travel.

You couldn't be more right. When it comes to cutlery, failure is not an option, the show must go on.

You, sit, have carried enough water to the orchard and there is fruit. Thank you. Thank you kindly. I will keep the tiny titanium on my list. I like ti and I have a robust DC power supply for anodization all of the way to high voltage green. Yes I do. Love that hawk's bill 112 and it is appropriate for it to make an appearance so near Halloween (Frankenfolder)! :) :)

OK okay. You can carry on like this solar-powered Buck knife is the best thing since sliced bread or the wheel. I can understand your enthusiasm over something so spectacular and exciting to the senses. Of course, your reaction is only natural. How could you stay calm after seeing the video? You can't. BUT, this one is mine. You will have to wait until the production models hit the stores. Gotta hold your horses. And, um, the prototype may need some tweaking or a little adjustment here and there. Just a bit. Only a touch. It is real close to perfection. Yup.

Bobble heads watch out!

What fun to have a Frontiersman fixed blade bobbling wildly on your dashboard as you head on down the road.

Perhaps, just maybe, a plastic, less mass, version of that knife would be a tad bit safer...
