hey i was looking for a new every day watch, somethgingf i could get wet, muddy etc. But without paying the bitchy price that comes with the high brands. I know casio is allright for dependability, this is the model i was lookin at

anyone had experiences with any sort of these?

This is a page on the watch shown

I've had one for several months.Other than the fact that it's not my favorite LOOKING watch, it's hard to beat for price, convenience and accuracy. I take mine off every night and put it on the windowsill so it can pick up the radio signal from the atomic clock in Colorado or wherever it is. Wickedly accurate. And no worry about battery life, either.

There is one negative: the band is not my favorite, and it seems inpossible to really replace it, since the watch itself is embedded in that big rubber collar that extends beyond the "G" at the bottom.

Otherwise, go for it.

eew
so if you break the band, its a self repair, or replace it kinda deal? maybe ill look at some others

actually jim

can you check? if it is possible to replace the band?

and is it durable or anything?

The bands have always been the weak link for Casio watches. Typically the plastic of the body gets eaten up if you aren't careful and then you can not get a new band on the watch. I have had better luck with my Seikos than my Casios but then again they cost so more too....

yeah. this is a backup watch for my regular fancy one, im not going all out or anything like that, also if anyone has other solar watches that are water resis and reliable, gimme a shout

I have a solar G-Shock model that I bought recently. It has a Data bank which stores up to 30 names and numbers. I'm not sure what the model number is. I don't really like the design(was goin for the 100 beats but the store didn't have it. A few weeks later they had it:rolleyes: .) I can live with it, though.

P.S.
It has an auto EL light which I think is pretty cool. If you don't like the design on that watch, I'll look up the model number on mine. Good Luck.
