Does anyone here own a Solarforce flashlight?

I'm interested in buying a new flashlight and they are pretty reasonably priced. I'm interested in the L2m model. If you own one how does it compare to a Surefire 6P and what kind of runtime do you get on CR123 batteries? Will it fit a holder for a Surefire 6P? I sent the company an email with these questions but I have yet to receive a response.

In my opinion they are cheap nearly identical knockoffs of a true American made product. A flashlight is pretty simple, and pretty tough. Maybe they would work fine. I wouldn't recommend one.

Agreed. The aluminum bodies are pretty much identical. I would just pick up a SureFire G2 and call it a day.

The linked site isn't working for me, but if you're going to order one, I'd recommend solarforcestore.com. You can get the light, holster, a rechargeable battery, and free shipping all for $25. The only downside is the wait time, as it ships from hong kong. I got mine in about 1.5 weeks after placing the order.

I have two of them and I'm quite pleased with the quality. The brightness and runtime all depends on what lamp you want to put in there. That's the nice thing about these lights (and the SF 6P), it can take a wide variety of lamps, so it will never become obsolete. The only thing I don't like about the solarforce is the clicky switch. It is a reverse clicky instead of a forward that's standard on a 6P.

It should fit into most 6P holsters. Its hard to compare the surefire and the solarforce, as the latter usually comes equipped with a LED.

Thanks for the replies. I just traded a holster for a Surefire 6P. I've owned a lot of Surefire's in the past and I've always liked their quality. Now I need to find a good P60 led dropin and maybe a crenelated strike bezel. I might order the strike bezel and dropin from Solarforce. I'm still not sure if I should buy the R2 or Q5 dropin. Does anyone know the difference? I plan on using CR123 lithium batteries.
