Specifically, I'm looking for practical comparison info for the S2200 and TN30 (or TN35); but I haven't been able to locate videos or threads. I tried searching CPF, but didn't want to bother registering.
I don't know a lot about flashlights, so most of the technical stuff would be lost on me.
I know they're more "floody"; but I really don't have a need for a narrow long range spot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you're happy with your T20.

I guess I phrased my initial post poorly - what I'm looking for is info on the Solarforce S2200, as it compares to the the Thrunite TN30 or TN35.

I'd suggest checking out CPF as you're probably more likely to get experienced users of those lights over there. I have a small collection but it's made up mostly of Fenix, Lumapower, 4Sevens, Surefire, Streamlight, Nightcore and a few others so unfortunately can't be of more assistance. Actually now that I think of it I do have a Solarforce but it's the Skyline 1. It's a 6V super thrower.

I'm trying to avoid that, lol. I don't want to get sucked into the world of flashlights - just another money pit hobby to make sure I work every last bit of the time until my "government approved" retirement age.

Ha yeah I hear you. At one point my light buying was almost as bad as my knife buying. I've curbed both habits drastically over the last couple years as I got to a point where I realized I just don't need any more really. On occasion something crosses my path and I sleep on it for a while then decide if I'm gonna buy it. I rarely have impulse buys any more and as a matter of fact I've gotten to the point where I'm starting to thin out my collection of knives, and a lot of other stuff I've had laying around in storage.

Guess I'll have to go with the standard answer - buy'em both.
Seems like every time I do that, it's with the plan that I will keep the one like the best...the idea being that I will sell the other one. That's what I like to tell myself, anyway - I know that I'll end up keeping both of them.

The countdown has begun. I placed the order on 11/4, after making sure that the S2200 was in stock and available for immediate shipping. I just checked the tracking, and it has already left Flushing, NY. Delivery Monday is quite feasible...otherwise, probably Wednesday.
