Very stylish and well done Nathan. Looks so comfortable in the hand. Nice grind line too.Youve come far!

Nathan, that is some fine work! Please define "fibermascus" for us stone age makers. When I read about some of these new materials I can almost feel my knuckles dragging the ground. Again.

Very nice, Nathan! Slick design and nice workmanship. I think the picture is great! Far better than I can do, anyway. The rose is there to show your feminine side, right?!! Actually, it really sets the knife off. Good job on all of it!

this is the first time I have worked with it
It seems to be put into differnt colored layers
when worked a pattern come out,Depending on what type of handle shape you make,it will always be different,I guess it is cross between Micarta.and G10,I worked this handle down with a contact wheel
and a slack belt and I then wet sanded it to bring out a cross section pattern like that of G10,seems to take a nice finish
Gary makers several differnt colors, very unigue stuff.

Thanks,It makes a man feel good when someone likes your work
Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the RWS 34
I am thining about trying some,I hear it takes a great finish
I am sure you will do it Justis.
Nathan:)

Nathan, keep an eye on the thread I started not long ago about the Damasteel. I am doing HT experiments on RWL-34 there.

It may be a little while before I start a RWL-34 knife because I probably will make my next one of the damasteel. I hope to make one or more of the RWL-34 after that.

You deserve high marks on that knife Nathan and I don't say I like something just to be nice.

That's a real slick looking knife, Nathan! Very sweet plunge line too!

Just out of curiousity, is that flower a Camellia? I have a variety here that looks a lot like the one pictured but, for the life of me, I can't remember the variety's name.

All the best,
Mike U.

Excellent Nathan! That is a super grind, you get a Gold Star for today on that baby. :) I like the Fibermascus too, going to have to break down and get some one of these days and I'll get to make a cool knife like yours! Nicely done, thanks for sharing.

Dave

Roger thanks,I don't know why I called it RWS 34.
Mike the flower is a fake flower, somthing I picked up at Walmart
Will
the knife is a hollow grind,I have never really seen a saber grind before, hollow is the only grind I have ever tried,
is it the way the lines are ground that made it apear as a saber grinder? I am curious
Thanks for all the good feed back guys
Nathan:)
Roger
Did you get your RWL-34 from Jeff Diotte?
I have spoken with him he seems to be a top notch guy.

would like to do some cutting with that recurve.i got some of garys FIBERMASCUS made out of black denim jean material. i put it on a small damascus blade made of BRUCE EVANS kitchen sink! sold it to the second person that saw it. called it D&D! sorry no pics.Nathan a Saber grind is starting from the top! a slight vee then a convex about halfway down. great for hacking at things, people, etc!;)

Nathan
Nice looking knife.

John
I haven't been doing this very long. Would have been easy to miss. Stop by my site and check it out.
