***SOLD*** Case Classics 630055 Wharncliffe Whittler -- true splitspring whittler - made in 1994. This was made for the old Case Classics series - it's 3 3/8" long closed with carbon steel 2 3/8" wharncliffe main and two 1 3/4" spear pen blades. It's made in the old style with a very thin center wedge between the springs - very tightly fitted (main blade has some rub marks). Very clean with no peppering that I can see anywhere. All blades have good snap and action -- a rather solid knife for a true whittler - main blade has the tiniest movement, pen blades have a bit more. It's supposed to be one of 250 that were stamped Case Brothers - bone is brown Rogers jig bone. Main blade stamped with a huge "XX" and with the tang stamped mark side "CASE BROTHERS/BRADFORD, PA/19 USA 94", pile side "TESTED XX/630055" -- both pen blades stamped "CASE BROS/TESTED XX/BRADFORD, PA". Never carried, never used, never sharpened. Comes in original box with "certificate of authenticity". Sadly, it has a hairline crack on the front scale - running from the center of the front bolster thru the nearest scale pin -- it's probably been that way for 16 years though, so it's not going anywhere.
