This is the XM-18 3 inch slicer, possibly gen 4. It has a stonewashed finish and lockside. It is in great condition and includes the original box and packing peanuts. Scale is marsh green G-10 I think.
SUPER sharp! Has early lock up, but the centering hangs a bit to the right, I don't have the tool to fix that. 18+ to purchase.

I think its a Generation 3. I don't believe the Generation 4 is out yet with the 3" XM-18.
 
The reason I believe its a Gen 3 is that I recently ordered (3 weeks ago) an XM-18 3" and was informed that Gen 4 was not available in the 3" and that no 3.5" were available at that time. Also, take a look at the top right photo, the stop pin is located in between the liner. From what I read, the Gen 3 will have the stop pin located there while the Gen 4 (3.5) has the stop pin located at the blade tang/pivot area. If I'm incorrect on this please advise and I apologize if I gave incorrect information. I'm new into Hinderer knives and looking forward to my new XM-18 which I just received a shipping notice on.
 
Gen 3 has a hidden stop pin, Gen 4 stop pin is visible (as pictured) and is held via button head allen screw.
 
I just received the shipping notice on my 3" XM as well. I was also informed that there is no 4th generation 3"as well. The 3.5's are 4th generation not the 3".

There have only ever been two generations of XM-18 in 3". The Gen 1 XM-18 3" had HINDERER on the blade and were all custom ground. Gen 2 brought on the production spanto and production slicers (along with customs as well) and had HINDERER on the Ti lock side.

Don't confuse the 3" generations with the 3.5". The Gen 2 3.5" were akin to the Gen 1 3" and the Gen 3 3.5" were akin to the Gen 2 3".
