Sold it, missed it, and had to buy another one

Have you ever sold a knife thinking you didn't like it or wouldn't use it, only to realize you regret selling it and end up buying another? After perusing eBay for the last hour I now have a Griptilian and a Delica on the way after having sold off those from my collection a few months ago. I've also had to buy another Caly3.5, miniGrip, Kershaw Chive, and a ZT0560. I have a hard time thinning the collection. :o
 
Thats the reason I generally keep what I buy lol, I can't part with any of my knives.
 
What didn't you like about the Grip and the Delica?

And it hasn't happened to me, I guess I'm more like SHKnives. Although I have traded off knives, but I didn't like them to begin with so I haven't missed them.
 
I "thought" I didn't like lockbacks or nylon handles. I was wrong. :confused:
 
Oh yeah: Delica, Salt 1, Tenacious, Rat1, Leek, Kershaw Salvo, Cold Steel roach belly. I'm sure there are others.;) I have since repurchased all of these.

I sold a Woods/Irie, PCC MK 10 folder I sold a few years back, wish I'd never sold it, some day I'll either buy or trade for another one.
 
95% of the knives I have bought are still my safe.... still miss those 2 ZT-0777's though :(

Manix 2. Missed it so much I actually just bought the first one I could find (and it wound up being an XL). Once I can get a paycheck I think I will look for another 154cm Manix 2 (not a huge fan of S30V, especially after reprofiling a badly chipped blade of it... two damn hours on my sander with a 120 belt).
 
I tradded a Spyderco mili and a Benchmade 710 Already bought another Mili and still looking for the right 710. I thought I was done with big knives. guess not. haha.
 
I rarely sell knives because I know I'd miss most of them. Nearly all my knives are knives I use on a regular basis so I would hate to get rid of them.
 
I've had about five or so enduras with various colors (I regret selling the white handled one) and waves. I don't currently miss it so much to buy new one.. yet. :D
 
I traded away a nice Case amber-bone 6318 with CV blades several years ago and I have wanted another one ever since. A few months ago I traded away my Endura 4 and regretted it. I have since traded for another one and it should get delivered in the next few days. It won't be up for trade. Ever.

Spyderco Military and Gayle Bradley are the two of them that I have sold and recently acquired again. I am glad to have them back again. There are others that I have bought, sold, acquired in a trade and then sold or traded again too. Sometimes you just can't get along with a knife:)

Sold my sebenza. Tried a few other mid and higher knives.
Then realized how well the sebenza fits my uses.

Now I have two again.
 
I guess sort of but only my para 2 had it in s35 got a reg version coming to me now but other than that not really. I generally upgrade by doing that, I only sell or trade ones I dont use or carry, so I dont miss them.
 
Yip. Spyderco Native (frn). A long time later I managed to get another one in a trade. It won't be going anywhere. :) Joe.
 
I made the mistake of trading away a LNIB small Regular Sebenza with the Native American graphics. I was foolish not to realize how hard those are to come by. Silly me.
