Hello guys:)

Well it is like it says in the title, i sold them!
I've been batling with this idea and finally did it.
With the money made i bought some cool stuff in the "real word" that makes this look like the best decision i ever made.
I still got an insingo to go but the rest has already gone.
Too much money on something that never get's used seems pointless now so i believe i did the right thing.
All i can say is that it has been a good run.
Since the end of 09 that i've been consistently on forums learning, trading, buying, meeting people and it was great.
During this period i even created a knife blog to try to educate people, in my country, about modern knives :)
I've met a lot of cool people, made a few friends and only dealt with 3-4 british assholes.
So the balance is very good :D
I got to say that i'm a member on several knife forums but, since joining, Bladeforums is where i always felt at home.
I learned before that too much passion for knives can lead you into arguments that lead to nowhere making you sometimes look like an ass so my approach on this forum has always been very relaxed.
There are really good, passionate people here that always treated me good so i thank you for that.
Now, you must be thinking, "Will you never buy a knife again?"
Of course not :)
I kept some cheapos that can do everything my most expensive ones could for the esporadic tasks that come up.
I'm thinking of getting a nice folder for EDC for the years to come but nothing too expensive. More like a gentleman's folder:)
I'm thinking of a CF Chaparral because it's light, great looking and a slicer. It is more than enough for my use.
I had one before and really liked it.
By the way, i'm looking for one ;)
So guys, thanks for everything :)
I will be stoping by from time to time but the hobbie will stop for a few years, i hope:)

Thanks :)

Good post. I plan on selling most of mine in the near future. I'm just too lazy to do it.

If you kept one, that fire will still be burning:D
Best of luck to you, I think you will at least come back to say hello to us. I agree that this is a great place! I thought I was alone until I joined this forum and discovered thousands of people just like me!

Your going to need a lot of will power and a lot of Luck. I think you may join us again, not just to say hello.

hobbies are fun until they start to interfere with or constrain other more important parts of your existence so congratulations on moving forward in your life and a new beginning.

thanks guys.
i will be checking you guys from time to time.
good luck with the addiction :D

I'm in the process of selling off most of my collection, to focus more on school and other life issues right now. I'll be taking a hiatus from most of my online activities for a year or more, and some I may not come back to. Not sure yet where this will lead. (Feels good to finally make the decision and get moving on it.)

Mantzao - good luck to you.

~Chris

Congratulations on your decision to let them go.
I had to let a lot of mine go and don't have anything over $119 right now.
I do have two coming in from a trade though.
That will obliterate not having anything over $119 lol.

But, I'm actually okay with not having a whole bunch of $350+ knives.
I don't really need more than my Buck Vantage Avid or SAK, but... oh well lol.

Good luck exploring other things in your life.
Good choice on the Chaparral as well. It's a great knife.

Good luck in the future. It's been a pleasure to be part of BFC with you and I hope you'll one day return to knifeknutedom as we, well I am surely going to miss you

I've had a CF Chaparral; great choice. Gonna miss you, buddy. Stop back and say hi occasionally, or you'll get bored.
Have enjoyed your chats and your pics.
take care,
don aka Sonnydaze
