New In Box NORTHWOODS KNIVES 2005 Scagel #8 English Jack or Daddy-Barlow knife with Rodgers Jigged Bone handles :

This is the 2005 SPECIAL EDITION, 8th release in Northwoods Knives line of authentic reproductions of William Wales Scagel knives. It's a English Jack or Daddy-Barlow, that measures 5" closed.....featuring a high-carbon, 1095 steel blade, premium Rodgers Jigged Bone handles, and nickel sliver bolsters. This is a very fine American-made knife (produced by Queen Cutlery in Titusville, PA) with an extremely solid lock-up and a full half-stop.......the workmanship and fit and finish on this knife is remarkable. It comes in a felt storage sleeve, and it's own PVC box with the Scagel nameplate (Northwoods owns the Scagel name and Kris trademark). Only 25 of the #8 release were made in Rodgers Jigged Bone so this knife is uncommon.

The Special Edition #8 English Jack or Daddy Barlow with Rodgers Jigged Bone handles was released in 2005.......and is an exact copy of a Scagel original, including :

• Inlay-ed and Pinned Arrowhead shield.
• Nickel Silver bolsters.
• "Nail Nick" hole that goes all the way through the blade in trade-mark Scagel style.
• 5" closed.
• Razor sharp 1095 High Carbon Steel Blade with the Scagel "Kris" trademark.
• Full Half Stops.
• Handsome, premium, Rodgers Jigged Bone Handles....as pretty a set as you're likely to see anywhere.
• New in Original Box....just as it came from the factory....NEVER used, carried, or sharpened.

Made in USA by Queen Cutlery; in customary fashion the fit, finish, and snap on this knife is first rate in every respect. This single blade, SPECIAL EDITION, #8 is one of just 25 made with Rodgers Jigged Bone....... I think it's fair to say it's not likely you'll see many of these come up for sale. This is a handsome, hefty, handful of knife ! VERY well-made....very traditional. Made in the heritage of quality pocket folders, when knives were considered to be an essential tool that a man carried daily.
