Hello,
I need some advice. I have a custom fixed blade hunter where the solder joint has some pitting. I want to repair that if I can.
The steel is 5160 and the guard is brass. The handle is a thru tang construction style with an epoxied wood handle and a brass
butt plate and screw on pommel(sp?).
Can I safely reheat the solder, flux it and add some solder to fill in the pitting?
All help would be appreciated.
