I just got a Bear and Sons Bowie, and the guard has a slight movement. Can I add flux and solder from the blade side to stabilize it ? Will the flux run under the guard and carry the solder with it?

I don't have the skill to perform such a feat without leaving solder visible on the blade. Keep in mind that lead solder like you would use for electronics or plumbing is not suitable for such an application. Silver solder melts at an even higher temperature, and I'd be concerned about the temper of the blade and the integrity of the scales. If you're worried about the slight movement of the guard, call up Bear & Sons and ask if they can fix it.
