Soldering Help

Hello,

I need a new soldering gun/iron. My butane soldering gun died on me (something corroded the plastic). I could find an exact replacement, but sometimes I felt that I had a hard time getting anything hot enough to solder. Wanted to know what you guys use and recommend.
