Soldier Shield ?

Does anyone know why the shield appears different on the Vic Soldier model as opposed to other Vic models?
The crest is an official crest of the Swiss military,and the other crest is Vic's own emblem.

To be more precise, it's the coat of arms of Switzerland. The Victorinox Soldier and the Wenger Standard Issue are the only models bearing the coat of arms of the Swiss Confederation since they are officially issued to Swiss troops.
