Hello, does anyone have a source for solid-color bdu-type (6-pocket cargo) pants? I have developed my carry techniques and tools around the mil-spec pants, but sometimes camo doesn't "blend" as well in the more common street environment (shopping with the wife, etc.). I would prefer brown or dark green pants with the same layout as the mil-spec stuff, preferably in NYCO. Any ideas? Thanks guys, take care, Regan

I don't know about solid color ... I like the brick-red camo I got from Sportsman's Guide! Why blend in with the common crowd? :D

Woodtroll,

You can check http://www.ammil.com for some NYCO solid BDUs. I haven't had any success reaching them via email but the prices are pretty good and you can get several colors/materials as well as lots of other gear.

Propper makes good mil-spec BDU's. I got a pair in black from the local surplus store. Most of the sites listed above should have them. And if you feel up to it(some people have problems, I never have), you can also try Botach ( http://www.botachtactical.com ), I know they carry that brand. I'm not sure who makes the rest of the stuff, but since every time I've seen any they are the same price(usually $30), I figure it's worth it to buy a known good brand.(then again, they're all mil-spec, aren't they? Hmm...)

Why not try Royal Robbins 9-11 pants? Botach sometimes has them for $29. They are very well made and and come in tan, black, grey, and navy. Also they look more "normal" then camo BDU's in a mall.
