Solingen Knives????

I have several Solingen products at home including nail clippers, scissors etc. Firstly know this, generally anything from Germany is of excellent quality, second, Solingen make superb products all round and the steel they use is superb stainless steel and I am just not sure the type they use on their knives. It must be good though. Very nice hunter that.

But Solingen is a city in Germany. Many German knife manufacturers are based in Solingen. While most offer decent or even good quality there are some really bad knives made in Solingen. Solingen is not a guarantee for quality but a point of origin.
