Which Solingen and other makers still make old style traditional hunting knives and bowies? There used to be too many but today most people are into modern offerings .Besides Linder i dont see anything else.Does anyone have any of linder bowies and hunting knives? How is quality of those?

Boker probably has one/some. With Boker if it says "Germany" it's assembled there and if it says "Solingen" it's made there. I don't know if that's a law that applies to Linder also. Linder owns oodles of brands all over the place, as you've probably noticed.

Some of Linders hunting-bowie style knives look really good and are made of carbon,440c,and 440a ,I like those steels especially German 440c,but can not check out knives in person and theres very little on those online as most people are into modern tacticals and other styles of knives.I like the stag handles and clip points. Not too many companies make these types of knives besides custom knifemakers.

I only have a few older Solingen made knives, but those who bought new Linder knives has said they were pleased with the knives.
Today Ebay is a source for both new and old Solingen knives and two of my three knives came via Ebay.

The top knife is the one that I used through my teens and the bottom is from Ebay (with some help from Derrick Bohn at KSF).

As the production in Solingen has declined, I turned my interest towards Fällkniven and Bark River Knives.
The heat-treat and temper are softer for the Solingen knives, but they are very tough.
The Fällkniven and Bark River versions have more of edgeholding.

Today I seldom have any use for those shown and they are kept in the collection.

I always liked Fallkniven northern lights series as well cold steel recon scout and trailmaster san mai,its same factory probably, ill look up that jaoanese maker again, they had some beautiful bowies, also they used to make knives for AL Mar and SOG.Excellent quality,Fallkniven northern lights are the best looking knives Ive seen and handled in person, period(excellent fit and finish). And I checked out most BR knives and Blackjacks.
Ps.I have couple BR knives and theyre good performers but fit and finish wasnt even close to Fallknivens and the grinds were unfinished and unequal,so had to regrind it in beltsander, shouldve sent it back but chose not to.But heat treat on BR that i have is excellent, hold edge well and very easy to sharpen.

Your experiences with BR & FK equals mine and yes the Northern Light is in a league of its own among production knives.
However, BR had a series of limited editions in 2016 and I got one.

It's a 7" blade and easier to pack and I'm not exactly sorry for getting my hands on this one.
